EQUINOX
The concept for this painting was derived from the Artist’s graphic representation of the EQUINOX. There are two times each year that the sun will cross the celestial equator, when day and night are of equal length. Every six months, once in March and again in September, an EQUINOX splits Earth’s Day in half, giving us about twelve hours of daylight and twelve of night.
Similarly, the artwork is divided in half by a sharp contrast between jet black and metallic white, with an abstract version of Earth as a rich blend of blues and greens for the focal point in the center of the overall composition.
This original hand-painted artwork can be hung in any direction.
