IN THE MOOD
The inspiration for this unique painting came from the Amethyst Crystal Cave located in Byron Bay, New South Wales. The amethyst cave is home to the biggest crystals in the world and first came into existence almost 120 million years ago. Filled with colorful bursts of natural vibrant crystal outcroppings, amethyst geodes can be found in various shades of lavender, violet, deep purple, and lilac.
The Artist used these varying shades of purple in this abstract composition to evoke feelings of calmness and relaxation. Lighter shades, like lavender, were used to make people feel more hopeful and optimistic, while dark, rich shades were used to inspire feelings of power and strength. Some other symbolic meanings associated with purple include spirituality, nobility, mysticism, and royalty.
